MQ Transforming Mental Health: Early Career Fellows Award– Statement of Intent

support research aligned with the current thematic focus within the MQ 2021-25 Strategic Framework: Gone Too Soon (G2S). The aim of the G2S programme is to understand and prevent early mortality among those suffering from mental illness and mental distress, focusing on the principal sources of such premature mortality - namely suicide and comorbidities.

Projects should focus on genuine impact by charting, informing, developing and/or testing preventative or therapeutic interventions and scalable solutions. Research can be based in the laboratory, clinic or field and may involve theoretical, experimental, social science or medical humanities approaches.

Program supports early career (3-7 years post degree) researchers. Funding: up to £225,000 over a maximum period of three years
