Health Effects Institute: Quantifying Real-World Impacts of Non-Tailpipe Particulate Matter Emissions - pre-proposal

Applications to develop, evaluate, and apply real-world exposure indicators of non-tailpipe PM emissions from motor vehicles (e.g., from tire, brake, wheel weights, and road wear and resuspension of dust from the road surface) and to assess the impacts of such emissions on air quality, human exposure, and human health. Studies in North America, Europe, and other areas where air pollution sources, mixtures, and ambient concentrations are comparable to those in North America will be considered responsive.  Funding: $800K over up to 3 years. HEI expects to fund up to 3 studies from this RFA.
