Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science (Cefas): The UK Seafood Innovation Fund- fishing, aquaculture and seafood

Projects, ideas and technologies that aim to disrupt the seafood sector are supported through the fund.

Projects should consider the following priorities:

• Sustainability: To reduce the environmental impact of seafood.
• Innovation: Technologies to bring the industry into the twenty-first century.
• Productivity: Ensuring seafood security for the future.
• Collaboration: Creating new partnerships across the seafood and technology sectors.
• Management: Strengthening the evidence base for sustainable management.
• Risk reduction: To improve future certainty for seafood business.

Non-UK organisations can apply as a project lead or can be part of an application as a subcontractor, but the project must demonstrate strong links with the UK seafood sector.

Funding: Up to £50,000 (including VAT) for up to five month.
