EFSD European Research Programme on New Targets for Type 2 Diabetes

Supports research in type 2 diabetes, focuses on: •Mechanisms to induce “browning of adipose tissue” •New targets for improving skeletal muscle or adipose tissue insulin resistance •Bile acid biology as it relates to metabolic disease •The role of lipid droplets in the etiology of metabolic fatty liver disease •Mechanisms of glucose-dependent insulin and glucagon secretion. Funding: 100,000€ for 1 year or longer. Can be more funded if justified.
