Instructions:

1. The focus of the proposed study must be a basic science project relating to multiple myeloma, and may include the following: cancer biology, molecular mechanisms, microenvironment, immunology, signal transduction and drug development for myeloma.

2. The total sum provided will be NIS 90,000.
     Budget may be utilized for salary (not the P.I.) and laboratory materials and supplies, but not for the purchase of equipment.

3. The applicants must be PhD, MD, or MD/PhD, working in an academic institute or a hospital.

4. Applications should be submitted on the attached forms (with additional pages as specified) in four copies, by registered mail. The application must reach P.O.B. 2020 Savyon 56514 ISRAEL by January 31, 2011.

5. Each copy of the grant proposal must be accompanied by a short CV of the applicants, including a list of their recent publications from the last 5 years.

6. Applicants will be notified as to the decision of the Scientific Review Committee, within 3 months.

7.  Awardees will be required to submit a scientific progress report 12 months after receiving the award.

8. Awardees will acknowledge the support of AMEN on any publications resulting from the study. ("A Research Grant provided by AMEN – the Israeli Myeloma foundation")
