Idea Development Award: Supports understanding of Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) • safe and effective macromolecular and cellular therapies addressing pathology of DMD in: gene therapy, genome editing, oligonucleotide therapies, exon skipping, protein therapeutics, and cell therapies • Clinical trials are not funded • Preliminary data are required. Funding: $350,000 for 2 years.

Translational Research Partnership Award: Supports translational research collaborations between two investigators to accelerate into clinical application. Partnerships of a research scientist and a clinician are strongly encouraged. • Must address one of the FY20 Translational Research Partnership Award Focus Areas • Clinical trials are funded. Preliminary data are required. Funding: $1,200,000 for 3 years.
