Clean Sky Joint Technology Initiative is one of the largest European research projects shared between the EC & the industry. Its main objective is technological breakthrough developments in the field of air transport. EcoDesign – Study of cyanate ester based composites in a high service temperature environment; Bicarbonate media blasting for paint-varnish removal and dry surface treatment; Development of more eco-efficient aluminium alloys for aircraft structures; Development and implementation of conductive coating for Magnesium sheets in a/c; Infusion system development for primary structure; Development of advanced preforms for LCM technologies; Surface mapping to improve reliability of dry treatment on metallic and organic surfaces; Production of yarns and fabrics based on recycled carbon fibres (CFs).; Environmental Data Models and Interface development; Electrical Test Bench Power Center; Electrical Test Bench Control System; Instrumentation and Cabling Green Regional Aircraft - Design, manufacturing and impact test on selected panels with advanced composite material; Wing loads control/alleviation system design for advanced regional Turbo-Fan A/C configuration Green Rotorcraft - Innovative management of energy recovery for reduction of electrical power consumption on fuel consumption; Adaptation kit design & manufacturing: APU Driving System; Optimised Diesel engine design matching a new light helicopter architecture; Diesel Power-pack Integration on a light helicopter demonstrator; Tuning of simplified rotorcraft noise models; Preliminary acoustic measurement test campaign; Manufacturing of a Thermoplastic Composite Feasibility Article for a Helicopter Door; Manufacturing of thermoplastic structural demonstrators Smart Fixed Wing Aircraft – In field surface inspection tool for contamination detection before bonded composite repair; Final design and manufacturing of a test set up for the investigation of gust load alleviation; Quantification of the degradation of microstructured coatings; Assessment of the interaction of a passive and an active load alleviation scheme for a transport aircraft; Technology evaluation and manufacturing of microtechnology-based Active Flow Control actuators; Numerical Simulation of the Assembly Tolerances for NLF Wings; A340 Outer Wing Metrology; Surface quality measurement in flight Further Information: Contact Person: |
