Alzheimer's Association: Various opportunities – LOI

* Research Grant (AARG)

Aims to provide newly independent investigators with funding that will allow them to develop preliminary or pilot data, to test procedures and to develop hypotheses.

* Research Grant — New to the Field (AARG-NTF)

Aims to fund investigators who are new to Alzheimer’s or other dementias field of research. The purpose of this program is to provide independent investigators with unique expertise and apply their knowledge to Alzheimer’s and all dementias.

* Research Grant to Promote Diversity (AARG-D)

Aims to provide new scientist from underrepresented groups with funding that will allow them to develop preliminary or pilot data, to test procedures, and to develop hypotheses.

* Research Fellowship (AARF)

Supports exceptional researchers who are engaged in their post-graduate work and before they have their first independent faculty positions and working in diverse areas of research, including basic, translational, clinical, functional and social-behavioral research

* Research Fellowship to Promote Diversity (AARF-D)

Investigators doing clinically-focused research without clinical practice are encouraged to apply to the AARF-D program. The objective is to increase the number of highly trained investigators from diverse backgrounds whose basic, clinical and social/behavioral research interests are grounded in the advanced methods and experimental approaches needed to solve problems related to Alzheimer‘s and related dementias in general and in health disparities populations.

*Research Grant to Promote Diversity - New to the Field (AARG-D-NTF)

for scientists from underrepresented groups with expertise outside neurodegenerative research to apply their knowledge to advance and accelerate Alzheimer's disease and other dementia research.

* Clinician Scientist Fellowship (AACSF)

Patient-oriented, human subject research, but may also include translational research specifically designed to develop treatments or enhance diagnosis of neurological disease.

* Clinician Scientist Fellowship to Promote Diversity

Supports exceptional clinician scientist who are currently underrepresented at academic institutions in clinical research training in Alzheimer's and related dementias.

Funding:  $150K- $155K for 2-3 years. (Direct and indirect costs- indirect costs 10%)
