NSF-BSF Biological Sciences Directorate (BIO) – Rules of Life Track

Supports integrative research that aims to identify the underlying general principles that operate across hierarchical levels of living systems, from molecules to organisms to ecosystems, that leads to new understanding of how higher-order structures and functions result from the interactions of heterogeneous biological components, as shaped by genomic, developmental, environmental and evolutionary processes. Funding: up to $80K/yr to Israeli partner ($55K/yr for theoretical computer based research). U.S. partner should contact the appropriate NSF program manager to discuss the research focus of the international project.
