The Associazione Italiana Sindromi Neurodegenerative da Accumulo di Ferro (AISNAF): Research Proposals for fight against neurodegeneration with brain iron accumulation

Supports research that will pave the way to new potential treatments for NBIA disease.

Specifically, this is a two-track granting cycle that solicits proposals on the following diseases belonging to the NBIA current classification:

1) Beta-propeller Protein-Associated Neurodegeneration (BPAN)
Funding: up to € 65,000 for 18 months.

2) Mitochondrial-membrane Protein-Associated Neurodegeneration (MPAN)
Funding: up to € 90,000 for 2 years.
