Sea Pact: Sustainable Aquaculture Projects (LOI)

Sea Pact strives to advance environmentally sustainable fisheries and aquaculture practices and provide the building blocks for a long term and sustainable seafood industry.

Type of projects may be funded: · Gear or Farm Improvements · Species Research and Data Fishery Improvement Projects • Aquaculture Improvement Projects • Fisheries Management • Regional Aquaculture Management • Social Responsibility • Gear or Farm Improvements • Fishery Habitat Restoration • Fisheries Conservation • Species Research and Data Collection • Research to Improve Farming Practices • Technology • Communication/ Education

For the 2018 Project funding round, preferential consideration will be given to the following specific priority focus areas:

1. Social Responsibility 2. Aquaculture 3. Fisheries Management 4. Traceability 5. Special species of interest: Squid 6. Special regional area of interest: Great Lakes freshwater fisheries
