Merck will provide several research grants of up to EUR 350,000/year for 3 years with the option of extension or expansion.

[2] Materials & Solutions:

• New generation of intelligent materials
• Advances in characterization, control and surface chemistry
• Better atomic layer processes - from modelling to materials: 
  • Atomic Layer Etching (AlEt) and Atomic Layer Cleans (ALC)
  • Selective Atomic Layer Deposition (S-ALD)
  • Radical Assisted Thermal ALD
  • Super conformal ALD

[3] Life Reimagined / Synthetic Biology:  

• Next generation production technology for biologics
• Revolutionize microbiome research

[4] Digitalization / Computing: How can in-silico research benefit from deep learning or quantum computing?
