LRI-B8- Threshold of Toxicological Concern (TTC) for inhalation exposure: To derive TTCs for inhalation toxicity. Prerequisite to analyse the correlation of grouped substances and the corresponding NOEC values is a database that allows the handling of complex datasets.

RI-EMSG56- The capacity of the endocrine system to cope with combined exposure to exogenous endocrine active substances at environmentally relevant concentrations: To investigate whether the simultaneous presence of low levels of a large number of exogenous endocrine substances acting by the same mechanism as endogenous endocrines can have effects that can or cannot be predicted by existing risk assessment procedures

LRI-EMSG55- Comparison of natural and synthetic endocrine active compounds - Assessment of potential combinatory effects.

LRI-ECO17- Evaluation of test methods for measuring toxicity to sediment organisms: to improve our scientific understanding of sediment toxicity and incorporate this knowledge in a pragmatic way into regulatory guidance and risk assessment schemes.

LRI-AIMT2- Toxicogenomics as mechanistic readouts from in vitro studies: to investigate the use of toxicogenomic signatures as indicators of mechanisms of toxicity, using in vitro models and chemicals with well established mechanisms of action. The most significant potential application for the research would be in the support for hypotheses around read-across and groupings in the safety assessment of industrial chemicals. An explicit objective of the research should therefore be to demonstrate the utility of in vitro toxicogenomics in a predictive fashion (both for positive and negative outcomes at the in-vivo level)
