Cooley’s Anemia Foundation: Thalassemia Research Grants

Ongoing clinical research projects support investigators from all disciplines and backgrounds with their ongoing clinical projects to address one or more of the following areas impacting patients with thalassemia, including but not limited to: cardiac issues and iron overload; fertility, pregnancy and family planning; quality of life, psycho-social impact and/or burden of disease. Funding: $40,000 annually with possibility of one-year renewal. (10% overhead).

Clinical trials in thalassemia cell and gene therapy grant award

Aim: to facilitate clinical trials in Cell and Gene Therapy to advance a cure for thalassemia. Both phase I (safety) and phase II (efficacy) trials are eligible for support. Funds $60,000/1 year with possibility of one year renewal.
