Nesta Longitude Prize: Diagnostic Test for Bacterial Infections

The challenge set for the Longitude Prize is to create a cost-effective, accurate, rapid and easy-to-use point-of-care diagnostic test for bacterial infections that will allow health professionals worldwide to administer the right antibiotics at the right time and will help conserve antibiotics for future generations. The test must be accurate, rapid, affordable, easy-to-use and available to anyone, anywhere in the world. It will identify when antibiotics are needed and, if they are, which ones to use.
The team must include a member which has a presence in the United Kingdom (UK office, UK company or organization/institution).
