National Niemann-Pick Disease Foundation: Schuchman Research Early Career Fellowship

Objective:research examining the biology of Acid Sphingomyelinase Deficiency (ASMD; i.e., Types A and B Niemann-Pick Disease). Preference to research of biology and pathogenesis of ASMD, to developing new therapies and for identifying biomarkers to improve diagnosis and/or to monitor disease progression and efficacy in clinical trials. Funding: $50K/year for 2 years.
