Michigan State University Global Center for Food Systems Innovation (GCFSI): Research Grants

Aim: create innovation in the global food system. Among requested areas of research: Weather and adaptation to climate change; improved agronomic recommendations; food processing; Innovations in food sector; marketing meat and dairy products without extensive cold chain development; projecting labor market and skill needs for agri-food businesses; Improving mobile phone-based agricultural services. Must propose implementation (testing/piloting, evaluation, scaling) to occur in one of a list of Africa/East Asia countries: Funding: Innovation Scalability Grants-up to$500,000 (required 1:1 match, contact Robi-2152 if applying), Innovation Evaluation Grants: up to $250,000, Early Stage Innovation Grants: up to $100,000.
