ISF: Individual Research Grants

ISF accepts basic science applications in all fields. The grants are given to 1-4 investigators for up to 4 years (5 years as pilot in social, life sciences and medicine). Proposals are evaluated for scientific excellence: [1] Originality & innovation, [2] Significance & implications, [3] Adequacy of methods, and [4] Suitability of investigators’ scientific background (see review instructions: www.isf.org.il/english/reviews_guidlines.asp). Funding: No formal limit. Average annual budgets, in exact sciences and technology are NIS 229,000, in life sciences and medicine NIS 278,000, in humanities NIS120,000  and in social sciences NIS 128,000.
