International Foundation for Research in Paraplegia (IRP): Various Programs

- Research Grant: in the field of clinical or basic research on CNS regeneration, neuroprotection, and functional restoration with special emphasis on the spinal cord. Funding 75,000 Swiss Francs (~$80,000) for two years.
- Research Prize: awarded to researchers who, by the significance of their scientific contributions and their publications in scientific journals of renown, have furthered understanding of the development, lesion and regeneration processes relating to the spinal cord development, plasticity, and regeneration following lesions. Funding: 100,000 Swiss Francs (~$105,000).
- Post-doctoral Fellowship: In order to promote basic and clinical research, diagnosis of acute lesion and management of spinal cord injury and other areas related to paraplegia or basic research in one or several of CNS & spinal cord lesions and repair. IRP provides fellowships to young scientists wishing to work in Switzerland. Up to 79,000 Swiss Francs per year (~$85,000).
