- European Diabetes Research Program in Cellular Plasticity Underlying the Pathophysiology of Type 2 Diabetes

Projects aimed at advancing current knowledge in the field of type 2 diabetes are invited, particularly those studying the effect of GLP-1 or DPP4 inhibition on cellular plasticity and recovery of beta function. Awards up to 100,000 Euro payable first year/duration may be longer depending on justification.

- EFSD Clinical Diabetes Research Program in Macrovascular Complications of Diabetes: Advances in the knowledge in this field, such as control of CV risk factors, glycaemic control reducing risk of developing diabetic microvascular complications, and need to better understand the effects of antidiabetic medications (i.e. GLP-1 RA, DPPIV inhibitors, SGLT2 inhibitors) on the cardiovascular system and their actions on cardiovascular disease in type 2 diabetes.
