American Academy of Optometry: Career Development Award

Preference of projects pursued by optometric educators and scientists involved in clinical, patient-oriented, and educational areas, as long as a case can be made for the potential to acquire future extramural funding. Ordinarily the award is only for U.S. based junior faculty, however, non-U.S. based PIs must provide additional justification detailing unique circumstances why the work cannot be done in the U.S., etc. in the letter of intent for eligibility approval prior to proposal submission. Awards $50,000 per yr/2 yrs. Requires dollar for dollar matching.
