The Branco Weiss Society in Science Postdoc Fellowship

The fellowship is designed for postdocs at home in sciences, engineering and social sciences who are willing to engage in a dialogue on relevant social, cultural, political or economic issues across the frontiers of their particular discipline. Applicants should pursue projects departing from the mainstream of their discipline, should have a record of outstanding scientific achievement, should demonstrate in the proposal a willingness to engage in a dialogue, have received a PhD between January 15 2010 to January 15, 2015, born after January 1, 1981, have not held a faculty position. Fellows have the opportunity to work at any academic institution of their choice throughout the world. They belong to a diverse, dedicated and intellectually stimulating group. They meet at least once a year to present and discuss their research projects to scientific and public audiences. Funding: CHF 100,000/YR for up to five years. Up to 10 fellowships /year are awarded.
