Radiation Oncology Institute: Examination of the Comparative Value of Radiation Therapy (LOI)

Aim: proposals that address the highest impact research questions for radiation oncology, that will enhance outcomes in cancer treatment, with special consideration to studies which examine the access, use, quality, outcomes, or costs of radiation therapy as compared to non-radiotherapy interventions as relating to: system structural factors, the structure and capacity of cancer delivery; insurance plan benefit designs, ACOs, medical homes. Focus on one or several of the prevalent cancers is encouraged. Funding: $200K for 2 years.
