Israel Cancer Research Fund - ICRF

Project Grants: Supports research of established investigators with more than 3 years of postdoctoral fellowship or equivalent experience. Funding: $30K/year for up to 2 years.
Research Professorship: Supports a full-time, senior faculty member, who has made outstanding contributions to cancer research and who will continue to provide leadership in his or her area. The applicant must have at least 8 years’ experience beyond the doctoral degree, and be no less than 5 years from the usual age of retirement at his or her institution. Funding: $50K/year for 7 years.
Clinical Research Career Development Awards: To enhance the clinical research capabilities of young scientists. The main purpose is to provide free time for young medical or pediatric oncologists to devote to clinical research projects and to obtain additional (post-fellowship) training to become a leader in clinical research programs. Candidates must have a medical degree and at least 2 years of fellowship training in medical or pediatric hematology-oncology or a related specialty, but not more than 5 years of subsequent relevant professional experience. A CRCDA is limited to a single support period of 3 with $45K/year.
Research Career Development Awards: To enhance the research capabilities of young scientists, with at least 3 years of postdoctoral fellowship and within 5 years of their 1st academic appointment. Funding: $35K/year for 3 years.
Postdoctoral Fellowship: support for young investigators during their postdoctoral training period. Preference is given to persons with no more than 3 years of postdoctoral fellowship or equivalent experience prior to the award commencement date. Applications are also encouraged from M.D.'s who wish to pursue additional investigative work in a laboratory setting to acquire research experience.

Funding: $25K/year for 2 years.
