Simons Foundation: Autism Research Initiative (SFARI) - Letter of intent

Research into the causes and treatment of autism spectrum disorder, including: genetics, molecular mechanisms, circuits, anatomy, cognition/behavior, translation and therapeutics.
Pilot Award - Innovative, high-impact proposals for small-scale projects or early-stage experiments. Investigators new to the field of autism are encouraged to apply. Funding: $125K / yr for up to 2 years.
Research Award - For investigators with demonstrated expertise, for compelling, high-impact research on an experimental hypothesis for which, in most cases, preliminary data have already been gathered. The foundation will also consider collaboration between 2 or more labs. Funding: $250K / yr for up to 3 years. Clinical and translational proposals with budgets up to $350,000 per year will be considered if justified in the budget.
