Cogito Foundation: Research Grants for Interdisciplinary Research on the cultural gap between science and humanities

It is the goal of the foundation to encourage the dialogue between science and technology on the one hand and humanities and the social sciences on the other side. It also strives to make scientific thinking better known and understood by the public at large.  Research purpose: to know how the gap between the cultures (science vs. humanities) came to be about, what caused it and how it developed. What has been done so far to bridge it and how successfully? What else could be done? Projects that require real interdisciplinary research cooperation among humanists and scientists may also be funded as a means to address the practical side of these questions. Funding: grants are awarded for up to 3 yrs. Funding amounts in 2013 were in the range of 15,500 to 189,000 CHF.
