Morris Animal Foundation: Large Animal Studies

Established Investigator: These awards are for seasoned researchers who typically have a published track record in research. Funding: no limit, $50,000/year in average, for 3 years.
Pilot study: These grants provide timely funding for innovative ideas to speed up discovery and advance the Foundation’s mission. Preliminary data are not required. Funding: $10,000 (direct costs+8% indirect) for 1 year.
First Award: Offers new veterinary and/or doctoral (PhD) investigators opportunities early in their career by providing research funding for their first research project as the principal investigator and pairing them with a seasoned research mentor. Applicant must not have received previous funding as a principal investigator for more than $20,000 for any single, extramural award. Previous role as a co-investigator is acceptable. Funding: max $50,000/year (direct costs+8% indirect), over 3 years.
