Bonnie J. Addario Lung Cancer Foundation: Young Innovators Team Award

Supports novel, innovative, transdisciplinary and translational team research (at least 2 young innovators per team) with potential of high clinical impact in lung cancer. Research conducted with human subjects (or on material of human origin such as tissues, specimens and cognitive phenomena) for which an investigator directly interacts with human subjects is preferred, including: Studies of mechanisms of lung cancer initiation, progression and metastases; Development of new technologies for the detection, treatment and prevention of lung cancer, Diagnostic and therapeutic interventions; Early detection of lung cancer, especially via non-invasive tools; Identification of mechanisms of resistance to current lung cancer modalities, Translational research in metabolism and nutrition. Funding: up to $500,000 per team over 2-3 years.
