-Targeting Islet Cell Plasticity for regeneration of beta cell function in T1D - Aim: to identify and prioritize pathways, mechanisms, factors and drug targets to guide therapeutic approaches to drive formation of new beta cells by targeting islet cell plasticity.
-Identifying and Prioritizing Drug Targets and Combination Therapies to Simultaneously Optimize Regenerative and Survival Responses in the Beta Cel l- Aim: to identify and prioritize pathways, mechanisms, combination approaches and therapies to safely promote human beta cell regeneration while maintaining beta cell survival and function.
Funding: $250K/yr for up to 2 yrs.
