The intent is to support innovative, untested, high-risk/ potentially high-reward research that will provide new insights, paradigms, technologies, or applications. Studies supported by this award are expected to lay the groundwork for future avenues of scientific investigation, and must specifically address at least one of the Topic Areas (see link below). Funding: $200K for 1.5 yrs.
