DOD-CDMRP: Ovarian Cancer Research Program Awards – Pre-applications

- Clinical Translational Leverage Award: Supports the leveraging of existing human-based ovarian cancer resources in translational research to investigate high-impact research ideas or unmet needs in ovarian cancer; Supports early-phase, proof-of-principle clinical trials (Phase 0 or I) or correlative studies (retrospective and prospective); Preliminary data are required; Clinical trials require cost sharing/matching. Funding: $250K / 2 years.
- Investigator-Initiated Research Award: Supports studies that significantly impact ovarian cancer research and/or patient care; Projects may focus on any research phase from basic through translational; Preliminary data relevant to ovarian cancer are required; Clinical trials are not allowed. Funding: $400K / 3 years.
- Ovarian Cancer Academy Dean and Assistant Dean (Leadership) Award: Academy Dean and Assistant Dean must be established ovarian cancer researchers. The program supports 2 visionary individuals who will synergistically facilitate the professional development of 10-12 Early Career Investigators, with assistance from their Designated Mentors, in the OCRP’s Ovarian Cancer Academy, a non-traditional, non-conventional training platform; Academy Dean and Assistant Dean will be recognized as Partnering Principal Investigators and receive separate awards. Funding: $1.2M / 5 years.
- Ovarian Cancer Academy Award – Early-Career Investigator: Must be within the first 3 years of their first faculty position. Supports the addition of new Early-Career Investigators to the interactive virtual academy that will provide intensive mentoring, national networking and a peer group for junior faculty. Designated Mentor who is an experienced ovarian cancer researcher with ovarian cancer funding is required; Preliminary data are required; Clinical trials are not allowed; Institutional match of $50K/year is required. Funding: $725K / 5 years.
