Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research: LRRK2 LEAPS Awards 2014

Funding will utilize MJFF’s ‘LEAPS’ (Linked Efforts to Accelerate Parkinson’s Solutions) model to support ‘all-star’ teams to develop and execute systematic, milestone-driven plans for addressing clearly defined challenges in the LRRK2 field. Challenges of particular interest to MJFF include:
1. Define the biological and pathological impact of LRRK2 inhibition
2. Define the biological and pathological impact of PD-associated LRRK2 mutations
3. Determine relevance of LRRK2 to other PD-linked genetic and pathogenic pathways
Funding: up to $1.5 million over 3 years.
