Funding for clinical investigations in several specific areas of Parkinson’s disease research.
Cell to cell transmission studies: Such studies must be based on a well-supported hypothesis. Funding: $250,000 over 2 years.
Database studies: Hypothesis-driven analyses joining data from multiple data sources, where at least one data source is a well-designed prospective cohort study such as a registry or follow-up study of a RCT cohort. Funding: $50,000 over 1 year.
Cognitive change in Parkinson’s disease: A well-supported hypothesis to (a) identify biological mechanisms of cognitive change that may be responsive to interventions, or (b) study the comparative effectiveness of interventions to improve cognition. Funding: $250,000 over 2 years.
