Epilepsy Therapy Project: New Therapy - Commercialization Grants Program- Letter of Intent

The New Therapy Grants Program seeks to advance the development of new therapies including but not limited to medicines and devices. All proposals must demonstrate a clear path from the lab to the patient and are evaluated with consideration for their potential value to patients, likelihood of successful development including regulatory approval and the timeframe of development. Other areas of consideration include: 1) Seed funding for targeted work necessary to explore novel therapeutic approaches; 2) Projects which if successful would be likely to support further development; 3)Proposals that support the commercialization of exceptional academic research; 4) Proposals seeking to develop new therapies for children; 5)Proposals addressing SUDEP (Sudden Unexplained Death in Epilepsy). Preference will be given to proposals that already have a commercial partner engaged to assist with development and to proposals that have committed or matched funding from a sponsoring institution, commercial partner or other third party source. Proposals for research originating from outside the United States are welcome.
