Nekudat Hen: Promotion of landscape and environmental values in agricultural areas - Preliminary proposals

N.Hen emphasizes projects that link agriculture activity and biodiversity. N.Hen encourages multidisciplinary projects submitted by teams of researchers from different disciplines. Preference is given to projects that contribute to sustainable agriculture while preserving biodiversity, within species variance and the supporting ecosystem, rather than just gaining knowledge. This year's priority topics:
1. Slithering of environment-altering materials (water, fertilizers, pesticides) from fields to the neighboring natural environment.
2. Changing of farmers position towards environment-friendly farming interface.
3. Reduction of agricultural products loss in the production chain.
Funding: 18 months projects are accepted. There are no specified budget limits, but the total budget allocated to all projects in 2013 is $120,000.
