Target Validation Program Fall 2014 Review Cycle
Supports work seeking to determine if manipulating a novel biological target has impact in a PD-relevant animal model. MJFF does not have any pre-conceived preferences for particular targets, however there are recommended targets (see link). Funding: up to $250,000 over 2 years.

Therapeutic Pipeline Program
The foundation seeks to stimulate development of Parkinson’s disease (PD) therapeutics with potential for fundamentally altering disease course and/or significantly improving treatment of symptoms above and beyond current standards of care. No official budget limit, applicants may request up to 2 years for preclinical development or up to 3 for clinical development. Although open to any creative therapeutic strategy, ideal applications should focus on one of the following treatment challenges:

* Protect or restore degenerating and/or dysfunctional neurons affected in PD.
* Alleviate disabling motor and non-motor symptoms of PD
* Alleviate complications of PD treatment including dyskinesias and other disabling side effects.
