Rescale: Rescale University Research Grant Competition For Computing Analyses Credits

Rescale has established an engineering and science research grant competition, available to faculty, staff, and students. The grants will be awarded in the form of credits towards Rescale’s cloud simulation platform, allowing recipients to conduct compute-heavy analyses much faster than with current systems. In order to be eligible for the grant, applicants must submit a short research proposal (not to exceed 500 words) for consideration. The proposal must (1) outline the engineering or scientific problem to be solved, (2) detail how the applicant plans to use Rescale, and (3) state what type of simulation software will be used. Grant amounts are as follows: 1st Place- $2,000 in Rescale credits; 2nd Place- $1,000 in Rescale credits; 3rd Place- $500 in Rescale credits; All other applicants- $50 in Rescale credits. The grants are to be used within one semester. All credits will be awarded on September 16, 2013 and expire on January 17, 2014.
