Ministry of Health: Health impacts of Food and Nutrition, Research Grants - Preliminary proposals

The Ministry of Health is continuing the "Research Fund for Food and Nutrition and their impact on Public Health" for 2013. This year's topics:
1. Breakthrough innovation in the food and nutrition industry (Personalized Nutrition, Nutrigenomics, Microbiome and more)
2. Effects of food and nutrition on the course of diseases (including epidemiology and public health research)
3. Nutrition and food for special populations (elderly, athletes, pregnant)
4. Development of health-impacting food from natural sources using new technological/biotechnological methods
Will not be accepted proposals regarding nutritional supplements, including adding of vitamins, medicines and probiotics to food.
In the framework of this fund, the Ministry solicits proposals for the following tracks: Research Grants over 3 years - up to 1M NIS (2 grants); Research Grants over 2 years - up to 150,000 NIS (10 grants)
