United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation (UMDF): Research Grant - Letter of Intent

The UMDF has established the following research priorities for its research grant program: 1) Basic Science and Research; 2) Clinical Research; 3) Treatment; 4)Diagnosis. Proposals fitting one of the following criteria may be given preference: Pos-doctoral fellowships; Seed money for new researchers; New area of research for experienced investigators. Each award is disbursed over 1-3 years.
In addition, new grant categories this year:
Creatine project: Funds are available for a worthy creatine-focused project. Funding $100,000.
Small clinical study/project: Suggested topics may include diagnostic testing, natural history studies, imaging, genomic sequencing, novel mechanisms, tissue studies, etc. Funding of $25,000 available for up to 4 projects.
