תיאור כללי:

SfP grants support applied research and development projects in Partner and Mediterranean Dialogue countries (Israel included). A grant application must be submitted jointly by a person from a NATO country and a person from either a Partner, or a Mediterranean Dialogue country. The average amount over 3 years is €250K- €300K per project, of which no more than €50K are awarded to the NATO country participants. Priority Research Topics (www.nato.int/cps/en/natolive/85291.htm) include the following:

Counter-Terrorism (including: human factors in the defence against terrorism; risk management, best practices and technologies in response to terrorism)Energy SecurityCyber DefenceDefence against CBRN Agents (including: Risk management and recovery strategies and technologies)Environmental SecurityEnhance support for NATO-led operations and missions (including: provision of civilian support through SPS Key Priorities; provision of access to information through internet connectivity; cultural and social aspects in military operations and missions; enhancing cooperation with other international actors)Border and Port SecurityMine and Unexploded Ordinance Detection and ClearanceHuman and Social Aspects of Security related to NATO’s strategic objectives
