Jerome Lejeune Foundation: research proposals in genetic intellectual disabilities

Researchers who are working in basic or applied science and who have genetic intellectual disabilities (Down syndrome, Fragile X syndrome, Cri-du-Chat syndrome, rare chromosomal anomalies, Rett syndrome, Williams Beuren, Willi Prader, Angelman…) as their therapeutic target are invited to submit proposals for funding assistance from the Foundation. The foundation will consider all proposals which have as their goal advancing scientific knowledge which leads to the discovery of treatments to improve the intellectual capacities of those affected by genetic illness. The Foundation provides no funding for research into autism. Therapeutically oriented projects will be given priority and may receive consideration for larger grants. Funding: 20,000 euro for one year or 40,000 euro for two years.
