Spencer Foundation: Education Major Grants – preliminary proposals

The Foundation's research grants are organized under the following areas of inquiry:

- Education and Social Opportunity

- Organizational Learning

- Purposes and Values of Education

- Teaching, Learning, and Instructional Resources

- Field-Initiated Proposals that do not fit into the broad categories above (please be sure to addressexplicitly how your proposed study aligns with the Foundation's mission of research toward educational improvement.

Funding: from $50K to $500K.

Proposals are also being accepted under the following initiatives:

- The New Civics Initiative (funding $50K - $350K); and,

- Data Use and Educational Improvement (funding up to $300K).

Please note that small grants of $50K and less are also being funded: application date is 16.5.
