Ministry of Agriculture: Agricultural research - Chief Scientist Program

The ministry will fund research projects of 3 years. It is also possible to submit research

proposals for up to 6 years (see page 3 of the CFP). Pay attention to the changes in the

eligibility instructions (page 6).
The Ministry priorities for this year (see details on pages 15-21) are:
Agricultural Products: 1. Animals; 2. Agricultural ecology and field crops; 3. Citrus fruits;

4. Vegetables; 5. Fruit trees; and 6. Flowers.
Comprehensive studies (CLAL-ANAFI): 7. Agricultural machinery; 8. Increasing the efficiency of

water use and protecting soil fertility; 9. environment-friendly disinfestation; 10. Food

Sciences - post picking treatment, quality and safety; 11. Economy, Marketing and Rural

development; 12. Agricultural Biotechnology; 13. Organic agriculture; and 14. Innovation and

futuristic ideas.
Agriculture according to Halacha (FY 2013, application deadline not published yet).
