Seeking daring research projects which typically drop out of regular funding schemes due to their early stage or unorthodoxy. Such projects shall receive a proving opportunity in this program. At the focal point are ideas for experiments and theory in science, engineering, behavioral, and life sciences. Preference is given to approaches which are radically new, which aim beyond continuous improvement, and which

-challenge and transform common wisdom,

-strive to establish counterintuitive hypotheses and unconventional methodologies or technologies, or

-stimulate entirely new research directions.

*** The project must be integrated within a university or an extramural research institution in

Germany.
Funding: EUR 100K for 18 months. The funds may be flexibly utilized for all costs incurred

including...the involvement of cooperation partners in Germany or abroad, research stays at

other institutes, and more.
