* Young Investigator Research Grants (including: * Young Investigator Grants; * Drug Abuse Research Grant in Memory of Steven Smith and * Clinical Research Grant in Memory of Haim and Regina Rabinowitz) provides researchers newly appointed to faculty positions with two years of non-salary financial support $25K/year (support by NIPI is up to $15,000/year, with mandatory matching funds from the host Institution of another $10,000/year) to conduct innovative research.
* Charles E. Smith Fellowship in Honor of Professor Joel Elkes: Grants last up to 3 years. Funding: research support is up to $30K per annum, and the host Institution must supply matching research funds of at least another $20K per annum.
* Extended Grant in Memory, Clinical, and Basic Research: These grants sponsor in-depth and broad-scaled research projects of more veteran researchers who have attained positions up to associate professor. Funding: $50K/year (research support is up to $30K per annum, with mandatory matching funds supplied by the host institution of another $20K per annum) up to 3 years. Grants provide support to conduct innovative projects on memory, basic, and clinical areas of psychobiology.
