This special Alpha-1 Foundation RFA is designed to promote high quality ELSI research on the current and potential role of social media (eg., Facebook, YouTube, Google, etc) in Alpha-1 testing, research and education. The growth of social media presents many challenges and opportunities for improved patient care, communication and research. Research is needed to identify and address ethical, social and legal issues related to the use of social networking. Funding: up to $200K ($100K/year) for 1-2 years. |
