- Rate Approval Process Communication Strategy and Toolkit: The objectives of this project are to develop a rate approval process strategy toolkit that water utilities can use to effectively communicate with their governing bodies during the budget and rate approval process. Funding from the Foundation: $350K (+25% matching from institution).
- Assessing Sources and Exposure to Priority Chemicals of Concern: The primary objective of this project is to assess the relative magnitude of various sources of chemicals of concern in source waters and the contribution of other exposure pathways in order to inform stakeholders of the potential costs and benefits of various control strategies. Funding from the Foundation: $300K (+25% matching from institution).
- Nitrosamine Occurrence Survey: The objective of this project is to perform a focused occurrence study to identify the specific factors that affect the formation and occurrence of nitrosamines in drinking water systems. Funding from the Foundation: $400K (+25% matching from institution).
* A minimum 25% percent of the total project value must be contributed by the applicant (i.e., the applicant’s minimum contribution must equal one-third of Foundation funds requested). Before starting any applycation process, please, check with Technion Research Authority reagarding Matching Funds.
