DOD-CDMRP: Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy Research Program (DMDRP)

- Investigator-Initiated Research Award supports translational research that will have an impact on extending and improving the function, quality of life, and life span for all individuals diagnosed with DMD. Preliminary data required. Clinical trials not allowed. Maximum period of performance is 3 years. Funding: maximum $525K over 3 years ($675K in direct costs if
requesting an Optional Collaborator). Nested traineeship: Additional maximum of $75K for residents or $55K for medical students in direct and indirect costs over a 1-year period of performance.
- Therapeutic Idea Award supports early-stage research relative to novel therapeutic development for DMD. Innovation and impact are primary criteria. Preliminary data are not required. Studies should be hypothesisbased. Funding: maximum $300K over 2 years.
