Moore Foundation's: Marine Microbiology Initiative - Investigator Awards

The initiative supports research in marine microbial ecology and related fields, enabling a comprehensive understanding of marine microbial communities, including their genetic diversity, composition, and function; their ecological role in the oceans; and their contribution to ocean health and productivity. The program will select 10-15 current and emerging leaders from around the world, at varying stages of their careers, who represent a variety of scientific backgrounds — from microbial ecology to biogeochemistry, evolutionary biology, bioinformatics, and beyond. Funding: $200K - $500K per year, for an aggregate amount of approx. $25 million over 5 years.
