DOD-CDMRP: Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Research Program (ALSRP) - Pre-application

- Therapeutic Development Award supports preclinical development of therapeutics for ALS. Specific focus areas include development of high-throughput screens up to IND-enabling studies and cGMP production for later clinical trials. Preliminary data are required, relevant to the phase of preclinical development. Clinical trials are not allowed under this mechanism. Funding: $1,5M over max 3 years. More cost-effective studies not requesting the full funding amount are encouraged.
- Therapeutic Idea Award supports early stage research relative to novel therapeutic development for ALS. Studies should be hypothesis-based. Innovation and impact are primary criteria. Preliminary data are not required. Funding: $400K over max 2 years.
